My name is Danica MacCormac, founder of hello.

For 13 years, I built a successful corporate career, convinced I was on the path to becoming the next VP. But one day, I woke up and realized something important —I wanted more for myself, and to help other businesses excel.

The industry no longer inspired me, corporate life wasn't fulfilling me, and deep down, I knew I wanted more. More purpose. More freedom. More impact. So at 32, I made the decision most people spend years talking themselves out of—I started over.

Leaving corporate wasn't easy, and I'll always be grateful for the experience, education, and opportunities it gave me. Those years shaped who I am today and provided the foundation for the expertise that hello is built on. But I knew it was time to choose growth over comfort, possibility over predictability, and passion over security.

My vision for hello has always been simple—take everything I learned throughout my corporate career and university education and use it to help businesses grow. I was constantly asked, “How do the big companies do it?” And I loved sharing that knowledge. From people and processes to branding, marketing, operations, and strategy, I discovered a passion for helping businesses implement the same principles that drive successful organizations—without losing what makes them unique. When I finally took the leap and committed to hello full-time, I never looked back.

Since then, I've had the privilege of helping incredible brands grow, building hello into a successful business in Canada and the USA, and creating a community of clients who feel more like family.

The journey has been exciting, challenging, rewarding, and at times completely unpredictable—but I wouldn't change a thing.
